Not sure a level wind counts as a baitcaster, but I cast and reel with my right hand. First time tossing a conventional this year and it is taking some getting use to. I have used spinners for +40yrs. so it is a big change for me to have to switch the rod from my right to left hand in order to reel.

Of course my set-up is used in the suds so it is not like I am casting 200 times a day with it.

When fishing spinnerbaits, crankbaits, etc. I'm old school and use a right handed baitcaster, so I cast with my right hand then switch the rod to my left hand. But I started using left handed reels about 15  years ago when I was flipping/pitching or fishing slow moving baits like worms and bass jigs. I pitch/flip/cast with my right hand and reel with my left. This felt better to me as I used to do a lot of jig fishing for walleyes with a spinning reel, so holding the rod with my right hand felt more "natural" when working these other baits.
