Nicely done Pat, I figured everything was blown out.

The main stem of the westfield is chocolate milk but the other tribs that feed it settle down pretty quickly.  In looking at the USGS gauge it almost looks like they close the knightville dam briefly which is typically only done in winter.  I'd imagine to let the CT river settle down like they did with the colebrook release.

Only getting hit when the moon is behind the clouds.  1 rock bass so far and 1 brown...

I went 1 for maybe 8 total.  Fun evening.  Bumped into one other guy fishing, very surprising.

Very nice brown.
It is understood that fishing licenses, gas, bait, etc., all cost money, but try not to let a limit of trout be your only gauge for success. – Ben Nugent, (NH F&G) Regional Fisheries Biologist

Good stuff Jon.  Farmy or housy?  Seems fishing the farmy at night is the only ethical way at the moment.  Can't believe the water coming out of the dam is so warm.  I bet the water flowing from Colebrook to Hogsback is much colder.

Farmington.  Housy is brown still.  Water temp was 64 and change when I started and finished.  Fish was caught 20ish miles from the dam in the bigger flows.  They were super tight to shore.  I spooked a few wading out.

Allan I was thinking about your quabbin night fishing posts while the moon was popping in and out between the clouds.  Id go tonight but its going to be super bright.

One of the interesting things is that Will and I would try "not topwater" when the moon was out and still the bite rate was way down. Cloud comes by, blocks the moon, and bam!

Jim's post gave me the smallie itch.  I scratched it yesterday.

Fished the farmington Sunday evening from 6 to "dark" caught a couple cookie cutter bows and headed back to the truck to switch to the 6w for night time action.  The big bright moon with no clouds for backup stopped me.  Flow around 200 cfs.  Need to replace my worn out cleats.
