The ice went out here on Cathance on Friday. I fished a few hours on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and after work on Monday. I have only seen 4 other boats at the most so far. Landed 27 to the net. Several 20-21”
Edit: 52 to the net with 5-6 2.75-3 lbs

That’s some nice ice out action! I don’t hear about that type of numbers with salmon down here in southern Maine, usually just a lots of togue.

I got out for 2.5 hrs yesterday after work and got my first skunk of the season. I was making a few in places but seeded they had lock jaw. My son landed one trolling a live shiner and took a few hits. Others said they fished 6 hrs without a strike.

Looks like yuo had a great time fishing at Cathance! I've had similiar experiences in Tampa, FL, were i've caught some decent sized fish too, not too crowded as well.
