Wild life services
« on: May 09, 2023, 09:40 AM »
New news yesterday at Cayuga Lake the service was there taking some measures to decrease the population of the newsnet cormorants that are decreasing the perch population and killing the trees on Frontenac Island.
Glad something is being done.

Screw the cormorants……..eliminate the geese. Crap spewing feathered rodents in my book.

Well, I “work” on a golf course. Chased 30 of them of the green by the clubhouse this morning so I could mow. Goose crap everywhere. US Fish and Wildlife is scheduled to do a roundup in a few weeks. Nothing makes me happier than to think of them passing through the sausage grinder……and feeding someone in need.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

cormorants are a native animal and play a part of the eco system  ........ local geese are a us wildlife experiment that went wrong  and should be corrected .......... mute swans are a invasive animal that kills native  water fowl  and should be destroyed
you can destroy buildings  you can't  destroy the  american spirit

For a guy who couldnt wait to get out of NY, has done nothing but blast NY since you left, you sure do have an awful lot to say about what happens in NY. Embrace your crappy state of Florida. We see youre fishing about as much as you did in NY, which is never. The Florida page could use your drivel.

Bad day?

I fish enough.

And I'll be back up there in NY fishing soon.

I hope your day gets better.

Who the heck said cormorants are native? To my knowledge they are not native, they were interduce to north America and are an invasive species.
Maybe we should do a fact check?

Ask the guys planting T&S fingerlings every spring about cormorants.

Anyway, here's a good article I found.
Trap is correct it appears.  They are native birds according to this article.  (Sorry Rusty)
