Hope to share pics here. Been two or threes years since I've been out. I see it's cold and rainy this week, but the week I will be there should shape up. One year I came and camped out, it wouldn't stop raining! 18 inches in one week. I think it was a record then. I was at a camp ground at Long Sought for Pond and I was getting concerned as a small stream was forming under my tent headed for the lake! 

Will be staying at an Airbnb in Groton. The wife that is joining me doesn't do tents. LOL

Groton is our go-to launch and play area. My son keeps his boat there all summer.

I saw that. It hasn't rained here in three weeks except for a one 1 minute or less downpour! Another week of this and farmers may have to replant!

Thanks Stripernut! I'll be renting a boat on Quabbin at least one day to fish for bluegills. I have plenty of trout and smallmouth out here so not that unique. (The Great Lakes are lousy with smallmouth bass and I raise trout) so I will be fishing for sunnies with a fly rod mostly!

I've had them hit the split shot on my line in Mass which never happens here in Indiana. And bass plugs which also never happens here They are so pressured here they can be quite wary believe it or not. No bag limit and people hammer them on the beds and take every last one of them.
