East Housatonic and a Private Pond
« on: Oct 09, 2023, 03:36 PM »
My buddy Bob and I fished the East Housatonic in Dalton from about 10 AM to 12:30 PM today.

Although earlier in the morning  had been unusually damp and chilly (39 degrees), the weather turned out fairly nice - - mostly sunny and temps in the upper 50's while we fished.

I caught a decent (11") brookie early on, but that was it

By contrast, Bob absolutely nailed them - - landing a 14" brown, 10" rainbow and six brookies (biggest 11") over the course of the day.

Then we travelled to a private pond, where we each reeled in about a dozen small to mid-sized (9" to 11") rainbows.
