Surprise Carp

I hit up a local crappie spot tonight and was surprised by this guy. This is only the last 20-30 seconds of the battle, but he put up a good fight on a 9ft noodle rod and 3lb line

That's pretty impressive that you landed that fish on such light gear.  Any crappies biting yet?

Not where I was, the small little largies were all over my crappie gear, same as the gills, and carp.. hooked 1 crappie and lost him on the way up.

There is a crazy amount of shad/shiner, almost thicker then the water in spots
