I just saw that NYS is offering a cyber deal for the Empire Passport at at savings of $25.00 off of the regular $65.00 price. This is a great deal for those that use a lot of the NYS launches for their boats. It also is good for those that use NYS Parks for picnicing, hiking and etc. Remember that some parks don't accept so be sure to check out which ones you use to make sure you are good to go.

I bought mine, and still think it was kinda silly for the state to sell them for 35% (or so) off.  I think mainly people that bought them Monday, would have bought them for regular price at some point anyway.  So in my eyes, the state is missing out on the extra money.   They are always crying the blues when it comes to money, then shoot themselves in the foot with things like this.   I think they needed extra revenue to make it through this year, or they are hoping you lose your pass before next year and have to buy another one

I for one have never bought a pass in the past. At 25.00 off I figured it was a good deal.
 Of course now that I am retired I will be using it more.

they are only $5 to buy a replacement sticker.    I had to do it last year. I tried to clear tape mine in the window so I could move it between 2 trucks, but no good then I tried to use it, lol. Had to $5 replace and stick it to the window..... With the discount, I got 2 stickers this year, great deal at only 80 for 2 instead of 110 for 2.

For what it is worth, anyone  62 years or older can launch free on weekdays only, (not including Holidays) at any State Park.   All you have to do is show your driver's license.
