Cheaper than buying a new motor! lot of shops are charging 100.00 an hour.

Iceman, Is it just me, or has the Crappie fishing on Saratoga gotten much harder over the last several years? I rarely find them in spots that were once sure things for me.

The stories I've read all say Lake Michigan out of Hammond.

Sorry, perch from Lake Michigan and smallmouth from Monroe.

Well I was gonna work all the mess ups out on your rod before I build my new 4wt in purple!!!! :D
I would not worry too much about the shed, probably the first thing to go in a tropical storm!!
Oh Mac gonna miss catfishing this year?  been good the last few seasons!

On that note, I've been considering hiring a guide for me and the old man.

That's exactly what my old man and I did last year. 2 days with a guide at Grand Lake Stream in Maine probably was equivalent to 4 years of fumbling around. Worth every penny.

Why would I do that?
I have the gear/equipment to build it.
Besides, I'm 1500 miles south of you buddy.
Dropping it off really isn't an option.
If I was that close to you, I could also swing by the old house and use Jeff's gear to build it.
It will get built.  Eventually.
But for now, I am busy with contractors getting some work done.
5 weeks from last Monday we leave though.
Whether the contractors are done or not.
