Dirtball2 and Raliegh, Thanks for the concern! We are all well, but tired of the smoke! The fire is about 20 or so miles out, but seems closer. Today was the first break in the weather with the winds shifting out of the south pushing the smoke north. "If" the wind changes back to the northeast, the city of Fairbanks "could" be in trouble! We have more than one fire blazing away right now, but the one closest to us is about 225,000 acres and holding.
I took some photos of the kids swimming off of my boat last week at 2 pm. I took a photo of the smoke by my buddy's house two days ago at the same time, (2 pm.) The smoke is so thick that we don't even dare go outside for more than an hour or so. This stuff is aweful!
Thanks for the concern guys and pray for those who are in the path of this horrid blaze.
