Its an easy wade to bluegrass right now, the river is pretty low still.

Yes, island is open. I think water is to low. At the old bridge where I cross water only ankle deep.

I'll believe that when I see it myself, these so called weather people have been saying it's going to warm up since last week and they're still wrong! These lows at night are killing any warmup through the day. Hex

I just hope when it doesn't warm up too fast or I will have move and harvest some of my trout before they reach 18 inches. If I can keep feeding them until sometime in May I will be good. Feeding like gangbusters twice a day even with water in the upper 30's. Even have some bluegill and yellow perch coming up for the feed.

The cold mornings make it more interesting, but the fish are there.

I've been surprised to see bluegills feeding on the pellets I throw to the trout. Normally in this cold of water they want nothing to do with the dry pellets.

Looks like a good warm up next week with rain. That should get a good push of fish to move up the river, and get the fish that are there to start feeding. I see a few limits but most singles. That tells me there aren’t that many fish in there yet. Good luck

Did well on the Maumee, should be a good weekend. Use bright colors if the suns out.

Weather was uncooperative and so were the Walleye, but I fished without being in a crowd, saw a few caught but it was spotty.

Headed there tomorrow, just hope to get one.  Might have to fish a new hole with all this water going downstream.

Got a 32 1/2 inch 14 lb. walleye in today to mount for a customer but it was caught this time of year last year. Was caught out in a boat on Erie using planer boards and stick baits fairly close to shore. There are some big ones out there!
