swimming turkey

Here is a pic I swiped off another site.
A few folks were bass fishing when this turkey took to the water and swam across a cove.

Why did the turkey swim across the cove? :-\
To get to the other side.

A neat picture indeed.
My uncle use to raise white turkeys, I know they would wade in the water a little bit {small puddles}, but never knew they would actually go past there drum sticks and swim. :w00t:

Thats neat, ive seen them not able to fly across the water and crash right before shore, but it was real shallow.
