Eagle eye
« on: Sep 02, 2005, 02:28 PM »
On a recent trip to the north I was able to snap a few photos of a young bald eagle.
I was surprised how good the photos turned out as the youngster was 150 to 200 feet up in a large spruce tree.

Here he is eying me with mild interest, wondering what I am doing below him.

After a quite some time he flew off to new and more exciting company. ;)

Good one Grizz, looks like the youngster when he flew off, minus the white head and tail. Is that a fish I see falling from it's grasp?

Is it just my computer/monitor or does the picture look very blurry with no detail?

Yesterday we were being observed by this young fellow for quite some time...I'm surprised the focus is decent as I did use a bit of zoom and took the shot from a slightly rocking boat.

he specifically stated that the bird was 200 feet up. You cant have crystal clear quality. read the posts before you act like a idiot.

I did read the posts and did know that it was taken 200 feet up, however, it also say how good the picture came out.  So, therefore, I assumed he thought it was a great picture since he did take the time to post it on the forum.

Crappie66, I was supprised how good the photos turned out for that hight, and the tree was blowing in the wind, also when I zoom in that close any tiny little movement would be a bit blurry, so it's not your computer screen going on the blink, no worries. ;)

Good action shot Grizz. :)

Nice photo of the young fellow Thriller, you did well to compinsate for a rocking boat. ;D

Thanks Mikepike, The camera is a Pentax with a 5x zoom.
