Deerhunter on here got a nice halibut a year or two ago.  I hope you nail one, it'd be great if they came back.  Draggers prevent it.

Nice, was not aware you knew eachother.  Work is dragging today...a day with sw winds...the direction I need them to be.  They will turn east this weekend and I expect that will slow down the bite.  I bet south cape beach is blueish mania now.

Ive found within fishing circles it tends to be a small world.  Lavaman found me on a deserted south county RI beach last year late in the season.  I haven't bumped into anyone from 247 down at the canal for years.

I got 6 small bass and 2 keepers in a private part of the canal. The keepers were 30in and 32in and all fish were on bait.

Found blue backs(alewife) in with Shad a week ago. No pogies yet on north shore.  Both are large baits for large fish.

I missed out.  Oh well Ive done my share of cow slaying down there in the past decade.  Scary how poor the fishing has become in 10 years.
