Congrats on your boat! As long as you catch fish with it it ddoes not matter how pretty it looks.

Found some weak spots in the deck? Ha....I was out looking at mine and I might have found a hard spot in the deck! My boat needs a complete strip down and rebuild......if only the ice would go away! ;D

If the fish know what kind of boat your fishing from your not going to catch them!  I have fixed up a few older boats like yours and there is nothing wrong with them, they work just like a new one.

Just as a "Maybe". I have a 1973, Starcraft Mariner- 16' deep V. Bought it new in '73. Added a deck, replaced floor twice and new transom about 5 years ago. Be sure and check transom. Mine was rotted and didn't know it. It doesn't leak and with a 1987 - 35 HP Merc runs like a champ. Have a 48lb Minn Kota transom mount electric, runs it fine.
