Found some weak spots in the deck? Ha....I was out looking at mine and I might have found a hard spot in the deck! My boat needs a complete strip down and rebuild......if only the ice would go away!

If the fish know what kind of boat your fishing from your not going to catch them!  I have fixed up a few older boats like yours and there is nothing wrong with them, they work just like a new one.

Just as a "Maybe". I have a 1973, Starcraft Mariner- 16' deep V. Bought it new in '73. Added a deck, replaced floor twice and new transom about 5 years ago. Be sure and check transom. Mine was rotted and didn't know it. It doesn't leak and with a 1987 - 35 HP Merc runs like a champ. Have a 48lb Minn Kota transom mount electric, runs it fine.
