Time to fire this thing back up, looks like shanty might be hitting the pits early this year.
-
The few, the proud and the faithful have never left.

Every year we have like this I get a little closer to unloading my ice gear. I love ice fishing but that stuff takes up a lot of room. I just want it to go one way or the other. Oh yeah I forgot, we live in Indiana.
-
I got enough hard water fishing in to take care of my itch. I'm ready for the open water. A lot of high water around but that even brings opportunities. The little ice fishing I did was fun and gave me ideals for open water.

have any of you found good open water for fishing this past weekend? thinking of taking the boat soon, but haven't had a chance to scout.

Jig See the photo under your location, that's how water is suppost to look! :D

Also I miss bigr reports and insight on the places he calls home to wettin a line. Took his advice and went to one last spring with my son on the Wabash in our canoe. Fishing stunk(but that's because of us), all we do is bicker when we get in that vessel. Gonna take the grandsons this year and I know we will do good, they do as grandpaw says. My instructions are shut up and fish. It works! Went over to another one of his places and fished from shore and did well in bad conditions. Love his reports. Welcome back folks.

I haven't put the little poles away just yet. There's a whole lot of February ahead of us.
That said, I drove past a lake on a central Indiana FWA Sunday and guys were fairly
flogging the open water. I watched for a few minutes and saw nothing caught, but
ifn I'da had a pole I woulda been trying as well.
fish, goose..... ,fish goose......, what to do?

That's why there are fishing shows to go to.

Yup. I hit the one in Rosemont last weekend
-
Any deals at the show I heard it kind of sucked
-
Yeah it was a little smaller than I expected. I picked up a couple small items, nothing great
-
I went to Rosemont Saturday. One in Schaumburg this week. Which one is the best or both the same? Have not been to many shows lately.

I think the Schaumburg one is suppose to be bigger and better. I work every other weekend and my off weekend lined up with the Rosemont one. If I had the choice I'd prob hit Schaumburg. Plus Mike Iconalli (not spelled right) is gonna be there! Met him twice before, awesome dude
