Title: keeping standards?
Post by: panfishman13 on Jun 10, 2009, 11:27 AM
for me it's 8"-9", males only, mostly because there are fewer females in my lake and i want there to be bigger fish later on.

how about you guys?

first i will start by saying i only take gills from January to March (cold water months) but think i would have to agree my slot is about 7-10 inches. In may area anything from 9 and up is a large gill, the average fish is 6-8, with a ton under 6 as well

I usually only keep them through the ice but either way 8" is a good size for keeping
