What to do on a stupid hot day.
Fished early….first light till about 7:00. Already too hot out. I didn’t like the furled leader I was using this morning. Wasn’t stiff enough to really turn over a big bass bug. So I set up the jig and made a few.

Made a couple heavier 36” and a 48”. I like leaders to be short for top water stuff.
Played around with the jig and did some calculations for another fixture just for shorter leaders. My 2 or 3 wt could use a 24-40” furled and do very well.
Anyway, nice and cool in my air conditioned hobby room. Gotta go out and cook burgers in a while. Not looking forward to that.
