Seen....Scenes.......Skunk!!

Change of pace and head for the parkland in search of some trout.    4-5 already on the water....but its another dead calm to start                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      we launch and watch quite afew trout scoot for shallow water...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              we watch as a group that just launch, catch the first trout of the day....it sure stopped the sounds of the loons for a few minutes.....we troll....drift...shallow....deep....deeper.....bu t no takers                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    some boogers....crawlers....spinners...more flies....but still no takers....here is one of my favourite shots from the day. The water is about as crystal clear as you could hope for on ANY lake....this is actually a healthy matt of weeds and its really hard to tell that this is in water                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           we move around alot switching things up....a super light riffle keeps us moving along the shoreline....but no takers....here's a shot of the bottom...fish around but not stupid enough to hit the fly lower left                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         watched a float angler working the shoreline for at least 1/4 mile.....nawda...we head er in and chat it up with another boat of disappointed anglers....not one hit....but the scenery and supreme quiet more than made up for the boat with no fish....looking forward to some cooler weather before hitting this lake again....WW?? Rainbow??...game?....Grump

Not sure Grump, it must be how your wigglin your Worm? Might be headin that way tomorrow.Last couple times we were there we were casting lindy's into 25-30 ft of water whereever we located a few fish on the finder.we'd anchor 50-60 ft away and cast to them. Seemed to work good.we'll see! Needed about a 24" leader 6# flourocarbon.

late fall Moe  we had the same problem in the whiteshell lots of rises but only one fish    with the ultra clear water these trout are spooky  but as the water gets colder the trout seem to become less wary  beautiful shots of the parkland  beautiful 8)l day to be on the water
