Goin lake trout fishin friday, i dont have a down rigger and was wondering how far down will a bottom bouncer allow you to fish, i have some but have little experience with them, i will be fishing from 20-70 fow. Also what type of lures to you guys find work the best with them

Diving Rapalas work for me when I don't have downriggers or the fish are up higher....Clown XRap 10 or 12 works good....60-70ft behind the boat...

You should try and get a diving plane of some kind...Dipsy Diver, Pink Lady, Jet Diver something like that and try some 3" silver spoons or Pro King Spoons, Badger Spoons, glow and green works good down deep also straight glow or glow and blue...blue/green and silver....you really have to experiment for your area...

6 to 8 inch squids with a Dipsy Diver

We do well this tim of year with chartruse or blue rapalas sometimes really knock them dead with the jointed j-9s...
I tend to think of "LUCK" as the point at which preparation meets opportunity...
