If he can end up handling the "big stage" the Sox will be just fine.  Past history tells us that not all can however, anybody remember Renteria?  Time will tell.

Well, I'll miss Manny. :'(  I still haven't decided if I'll burn my Ramirez Jersey yet. Damon's is certainly ashes!

J. BAY good right handed power hitter. Numbers comparable this season. Guy has been an all star past two years. Not a household name, perhaps 'cuzs he's been in Pittsburg . He's younger than Manny by 6 or 7 years and also a left fielder. Good solid ball player.
I could have been somebody....I could have been a contender....not a bum... which is what I am now.....Brando

Mixed emotions here as well.  When my daughter was born 7 years ago, it was a schedule c-section and we picked May 30th, Manny's bday.  Got to admit, he has been "interesting" to watch....... Funny, last few games she watched with me, even she commented on Manny not running hard, trying his best, etc.  Hope Jason Bay can handle the spotlight and we get this thing turned around in a hurry...... :-\
