Where do crappies spawn on (wood,sand,weeds,muck)?

depends on what's available. if there's some kind of cover, especially wood, usually it's safe to assume they'd spawn there.

that said, i think bottom content is a bit more important. i usually find crappie spawning in marl bottom, which is a mix of small gravel and sand. basically wherever they can sweep a bit of material away from the surface and still have little cracks and crevices for the eggs to fall down into and be protected.

in short, try wood cover first, then look for the marl. if you still can't find them, look for weeds and sand. i've never caught crappie spawning over a muck bottom.
