yeah i have been a IceShanty member for 2 years now just recently with last years crapy ice i started to post. At the alcove marina the water level is a little low but able to get through with a boat. At Spierfalls dam its getting a little lower now that we havnt had to much heavy rain.

Yep, yours was close to the one in the bottom picture.  :flex: it was a big'n, couldn't do anything with the ultralite, almost spoolled ya, we couldn't catch it with my trolling motor on high.  :w00t: Looked like a h#ll of a fight, to bad, he went under that log. They sure know where to go to get un-hooked or break a line.  :-\

Thanks guys. I would use a lighter rod but at this part of the river the current moves pretty good at times and trying  to fight a 15 -20 lber in hard current isnt easy.

I know that stretch well.I was just messing with you.I hooked one a couple weeks ago fishing for panfish on my ultralite.I had very little chance of getting him in with all the logs and stuff in the area we were fishing. They're just way too strong.
