Propane heaters for home heating...
« on: Jul 18, 2007, 05:40 PM »
Does anyone have any experience with those propane heaters that look like fireplaces and put out 30000+ BTU's? I'm looking to supplement my pellet stove and those propane heaters run around $400 which is a good price and I already use propane to cook with so that's a non-issue. How much propane would you say they use in a month in an average Northeast winter?

I have one from Vermont casting it is 35000 BTU ,it is in the game room and does a good job there, but I would not try to heat my house with it unless I lived south of  I -70.  BB

Mine is a direct vent brings air in one pipe and exhaust out the other.all stainless nice set up but I don't think they are that efficient.BB
