Flathead Lake Fishing Report...3/10/2007

Neptune:
Launched from Wayfarer(wasn't easy in or out, due to low water level).

Trolled primarily the SE corner of the Delta. Caught 6 Macks lost 1.  Bite was between 9:30-11:00am.  Hit 4 different spoons and a rapala.

Wind was whipping it up pretty good so off the water by 2pm.  Hopefully next week will be better.

Nothing I would consider remotely big... :-[

Marked an enourmous amount of fish on the finder...have never seen it like that(then again I've never fished Flathead this early in the Sring before either)...  All the fish we caught were in the 18-22" range 2-3lbs.  I threw most of them back...

I was really trying to get an idea of where to fish for the Mack Days tournament starting next weekend...everything stays in the boat for the next 5 weekends during the tournament... ;D

We didn't try jigging and there were alot of guys doing that and they had moderate luck, maybe a couple more fish than we had.  They were using white twister tails with some meat on the hook.

The weather was pretty unsettled and that tends to through the bite off....We will see what next week brings!
