Fishing by Canoe

RJP:

What is your opinion on the best place to fish by canoe, and what species do you target.

IMHO it's Wawayanda or Spruce Run for bass.

I always did good out of a canoe when I fished waters that only canoes could get too.
There's some great streches of the rariton river only accessable by canoe . Some great small mouth and trout fishing water. So find those  unfished spots that are untouched by most and have a field day with lots of uneducated fish. .

I used to access it at clinton , there's a parking lot at hallstead st, whare you can drag a canoe to the rivers edge. Some good water past the mill ,follow it up and it leads you to the bottom of the spill way of spruce run , just stay below the damm . Lots of good fishing behind the church as well . They got all kinds of fish from trout to tiger muskies to pike , crappie ,bass and so on .  ;D  I used have a coleman scanoe with the flat back, I would hook up a electric motor and go.

Good fishing and release a few for the kids
