Furunculosis

(1/1)

Looks like another round of infected fish this time Brookies. More bad news for NJ trout fishing this year. Between the weather the past 4 months and the reduced numbers of fish it won't be a banner year. I wonder how many brood stock will be stocked in streams?

I always laugh when others ask questions on the internet since the answer is usually at their finger tips and thus I found the answer to my own question. At least for Lakes and ponds. http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/bonus_brdstk14.htm

Since they have the brood stock "on hand" it would seem that a fair amount will be put in the stream system. Maybe it won't be so bad after all.
