How was the shad run this year?

I'm kinda surprised how few posts there have been on the topic.

I remember it was a big deal "back in the day" when I was growing up in the Pioneer Valley.

Still, plenty of shad to fish for in the Conn. River.

Right in the late/middle of it. The fishing has been hot and heavy. Good sized fish this year. I have an insane video of massive schools running by me, over my feet, between my legs. Actually some of the best Shad fishing I’ve ever had. Got about 50 last weekend, including two pins. So, yeah, it’s been a good season...
