Title: how to clear simulator and set shallow water alarm

My friend recently purchased a Lowrance Hook2 4x gps fish finder.  It doesn't come with a user manual.   He is asking how to clear the simulator and then how to set the shallow water depth alarm.  My first thought was that the transducer isn't hooked up.  If the unit does not receive a signal from the transducer all he will have is the simulator screen.  He says it is plugged in and the wire is not broken.

If you type the make and model of the fish finder on google or some other search engine you should be able to read or download an owner's manual.
