Right I'm ready for the spring trip to Northern Ontario for giant gators and walleye!!!    :thumbup_smilie: :thumbup_smilie:
The flies are tied, the rods & tackle packed, now I just have to wait until next Thursday when I hop on the plane for the 10 hr trip to Toronto, then the 13 hr drive to Nakina and finally the hour long float plane trip.   ::)
I'll be fishing the Attawapiskat River between Lansdowne House and Attawapiskat at a camp that just opened last year. The area has been unfished for 30 years and is absolutely loaded with giant pike and walleye.
The walleye are so aggressive they even hit musky bucktails!!!!   :w00t:

good luck on your trip drifter. hope you have some good weather  ;D

Thanks!!
Right now the long range forcast is for stable weather through the 26th when a cold front will move through.
I hope they're right.
Probably not far out though.   ::)
I'm hoping for a fish in the high 40's and expect to get a bunch in the low to mid 40" range.
I think last years bigfish at the camp was 49 1/2" which is a pretty decent pike.  :whistling:
My buddy got one in the 48" range there last year.

No char in my area but there are lots of other areas with char North of me.

Here's a few shots from today.   ;D

Oh yeah, the ice is still over 3' thick when you get away from the shoreline.

Been ice fishing for almost 7 months.
I've had enough!!!!      ::)
I just want to get out in the boat.

Ice fishing does make the winter go by more quickly but does tend to get old.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
