They're ok. They work, that's what counts.

No ice this week Mike. High 40's into next week. I scouted out some docks today on my rounds. I have options :whistling:

RG

I'm going South for a golf fix. Whatever ice is left after this big blow, you'll be fishing on by Saturday. Good luck and great flies by all as usual!!

Black or brown stonefly and mayfly patterns dont work through the ice for perch, gills, or crappies...  ::)

do u bottom bounce those flies.

Bottom bouncin seems to work the best but they can be fished quite well under a float. Also on a flyrod under an indicator...

Thanks gump! It's a size 10 prince nymph pretty much replaced everything with red materials. Red rib, hackle bead head and white goose biots painted red.

Neither do Hares Ears or Scuds ::)

I'm hoping these will,

They killed on the open water. The Sunnies at the South end of Canandaigua inhaled them. Especially that brown one on the bottom.
