I have YET to see any real refutation of the the Planet wide scientific consensus regarding the reality of climate change. BTW, It’s cow burps, not farts. I wonder where some people pull their opinions from.... I don’t really wonder.... hehehe

I don't think GasBlaster actually denies climate change (I could be wrong), he just doesn't care &/or thinks it's overblown, like a lot of people of his generation.  It's an issue that may not adversely affect someone in their 50's or 60's or 70's or whatever, but will certainly affect some to certain extents (depending on where you live of course) being born now and in the future.

So because some scientists 40 to 50 years ago (highly doubt it was anywhere near 97% consensus either) may have claimed that we were going to have an ice age in the near future and they were proven to be wrong, that means we should not listen to most scientists ever again?

To be clear, i don't think the world is ending anytime soon, even if we keep using fossil fuels (& using plastic straws/eating beef)  I just think it'll be radically different 100+ years from now and we will have to learn how to adapt and it'll be extremely costly.  I won't be alive at least  i'm selfish, i'll admit it.

WOW, GB!!! HAHA!!!! What the real scientists ARE saying is we have 12 years to put the breaks on before things really get out of hand. THEY are NOT saying the world will end, but that things will get progressively and, likely exponentially worse given feed back loops such as lack of polar ice reflectivity creating warming ocean and ocean current changes. Why is this so hard to grasp. For example, a 20# turkey takes roughly a little over 6.5 hours to cook. After that it starts to get dry and over cooked. but it’s still edible. Might need more gravy! hehe At some point, you ruined  dinner and can’t cook another one in time for company.

I have a hard time contemplating what tomorrow is going to bring, he'll, it wasn't that long ago that phones hung on the wall and you had to get up to go answer it.

The point is there are going to be massive changes in food supplies, migration and immigration patterns. Most people live along coastal plains. They will NEED to come inland, especially those on low lying islands. Given the current warm welcoming of immigrants from other countries and refugees from war and hurricanes, I’m guessing GB and trump will welcome all with open arms!!! Right?!

I used to follow The Grateful Dead,  I often wonder if we will see another happy following like that!

I think the earth will survive. The question is will we? 99 percent of the species that have walked this earth have gone extinct. Think about that. And the dinosaurs were here a lot longer than we have, but when their time came they disappeared rapidly.  180 million years vs. 200,000 years.
