I have been looking for a used boat and found a 2013 Lund 1800 Tyee that looks interesting to me. I was wondering if anyone has any informational comments on the Lund 1800 Tyee. If you have one or have fish out of the same kind of boat that would be great.

Really good boat
And in 2008 they started using composite in the transom, so they don't rot anymore.

High gunwales, solid construction and a super dry ride. They aren't rockets, but they're stable and will treat you well for years to come.

GREAT THREAD!!!!
I also have been looking at boats.. I am fishing out of the boat my dad gave to me that i have been fishing out of since 1990... still in decent shape for its age HOWEVER it's time to upgrade..looking to get a wealth of knowledge and opinions on boats...
Pros and cons of a glass boat vs. Aluminum?
I love the lunds. Starcraft makes a super nice boat as well..
Then there is the warriors... Rangers.. nitros....
Too many choices out there... hard to decide for sure..
Gives us your input guys PLEASE

You know that old saying "If it sounds to good to be true it usually is" , well it is. The 2013 Lund 1800 Tyee for $20,000 on Craig's list must have been a ruse, the add just disappeared with no response to my enquirers. :(. I will just have to keep looking.

Glass boats track better for trolling. Depends how you fish and for what.
Also your budget. A new Ranger 621 maxed out is ~ 100k pretty spendy.

I have a 18 foot tracker with 90 Merc nice boat and has been good and use alot
Last year bought a older 22 foot Grady white , has a newer 250 Evinrude and a 8 horse kicker , what a difference in ride and holding rougher water , granted it's heavy to haul but basically paid for newer motors on it and guy through boat in for what I got it for ,it's awesome for Erie, took some getting used to but live it , keep it in harbor in Buffalo this year and still have tracker to move around to other spots , may try to find a marina little farther west next season

Yes indeed, need to be on look out for them, but also, if you're aware of one that's been storm damaged and can make a cheap offer work...with some sweat equity investment you could very well have a decent boat
