Title: Cast and Blast weekend has arrived

I always enjoy getting to fish the last couple days of the season at camp to then bird hunt on the first day of October.  Certainly one of my favorite times of the year.  The ideal dinner Monday night will be Partridge with a side of Salmon.  Hopefully that can be accomplished.

Gasblaster we are headed up tomorrow You and brother should come up try it you will like it. Its been going on for 50 + years scout at the same time.(cast and Blast)

I hope to do kinda the same, but more closer to home. Sunday fish for the closing day for fall, bring home a salmon or prob a bow. Monday go out for some squirrels. Not much for birds where I get to hunt.

That sounds like a good time . But I'm not going to be able to make it up there until the 6th .

Few fish to speak of. Not much in the neighborhood for birds.  Saw more driving into camp on Friday then when we were hunting on Monday.  Still always great to be up there.  I will spend all of Thanksgiving week up there so hopefully a few birds then.

Still better than sitting in the office.

I fished Friday morning.  Caught fish on top with mono and down 40-45 feet on riggers.  Nothing in between and not a lot of fish.

I caught one bow at sunset on Sunday (slow fishing), and brought home three squirrels on Monday  :D

Birds will have to wait until I go camping in the NMWs next weekend, for now the kids are still catching a few fish until I park the boat.

Yes thank you . I was the alternate on my brothers tag .  WOODCHIP had two parties up to his camp with 2 bull tags last week . He managed to put us both on bulls .   Great week to be up north .    Thanks again woodchip !
