Finally . . . . ! ! !
« on: Aug 07, 2009, 01:27 PM »
Been looking for that elusive walleye out of Brookville Res. Finally got it on Wednesday. 16 incher on a crawler. We were catfishing out of Hannah Creek when my rod went bouncing. Handed it to my wife to reel in and it started getting bigger. I picked up my closest rod to prevent a tangle and lo and behold a fish was on it. Hooked it right on the top of the mouth with a circle hook. (Lucky? no, I like to think of it as skill.) Ended the day with nine really nice bluegills and several keeper catfish and one walleye. (Catfish ran from 1.5 lbs to 4.5 lbs.) Be casreful on the lake if you go this weekend. Storms raised the water over one foot and there is a lot of debris in the water. (Pics later)
