14 Hrs
« on: Aug 10, 2014, 06:26 AM »
Hit the salt with my uncle Friday nigh at 10pm. Got out to the spot and it was a striper on the first drop. A nice 38in 21lb fatty. Measurements were taken and she was quickly released. The blues were in thick and made quick work of alot of our bait and leaders. I had just the answer for that!! 12in Steel leader!! Drop the bait down, tug... nothing but a severed line. Pull it and my braid it cut!! Looked like they hit the swivel that my main line was tied to..

After the blues and bass we headed to another spot for Black Seabass and Fluke. The action came fast and furious with some huge scup included. We kept a couple of the seabass that didnt look like they would make it. As well as a few Fluke. On the day we must have caught atleast 50 fish from, Striper, blues, scup, fluke, and BSB. We headed back in at 12pm the next day. After 14hrs of fishing and being up 40hrs straight it was time for a much needed nap.

I'm not looking to find your secret spot, just generally speaking, where are you finding bluefish? We haven't seen many at all this year.  ???

Oh, that makes sense. I can't seem to find any bluefish anywhere up here on the North Shore?
