Favorite Fly for Stream/River fishing NH

Dark Cahill, Golden smelt, Wooly Buggers Olive and Black, Egg Sucking Leech are my favorite go to

Top 3 would be a beadhead pheasant tail, CDC caddis, and a beadhead olive micro (size 14) wooly bugger.

I like to fish humpys either with a red center or yellow. They float really high great visibility.

when desperate to not be skunked a chamois leach always has worked for me. Otherwise an olive wooly bugger

I have a sweet spot for a hornburg.

Me too. Mickey Finn a close second,I've caught more trout on hornburgs than any other, caught a ton of crappie on them too.

Northern MA/southern NH, green or yellow hornburg. Mid May to late June, White Ghost for streams like the Baker River and northward.

Gold ribbed hares ear is the best all around fly for any trout fishing.  Brad head for river or stream or deeper trout in ponds.

For anchor flies definitely heavy stones or a pats rubber legs.  Surprised no one said pheasant tail.  Quasimodo's work really well for me. 

Did I mention Pats rubber legs?  I like hares ear too but prefer ones without beads.  Then you can swing them like a wet and get smashed!
