First off congratulations Kappy, that's a great time of year to visit OC. I haven't been to Ocean City in years but my parents go a good bit. I called them and asked were they like to go and here is what they said. A lot of these places I have eaten as well.

Scared to recommend places to stay to you. The two I thought of Ocean front had some good reviews and some not so good.

Places to eat
Coins
Hoopers
JR Ribs
Watermans
There is also a nice restaurant that over looks the Ocean. Neither my parents or I can remember the name of it. ::) Its at the very beginning of the boardwalk by the main parking lot.
You cant leave there without getting Boardwalk fries either. They have two locations on the boardwalk.

Attractions/Fishing
http://www.assateagueisland.com/ Know for its Wild Horses that roam around.
There are some shopping outlets around OC as well. A short ride to Delaware and there are some more outlets.
Not much of a saltwater fisherman but there are a few place that allow Pier fishing. One is located on the boardwalk and you can fish at night. I have seen people catch small sharks and other fish. The also have gear to rent you. Maybe someone else will chime in about boat charters if that's the route you want to go.

If you happen to see any big bucks while your down here, dont tell the guys on MHF. ;D ;D

Hope this helps you out a little.

Your welcome Kappy. Just happen to think of a few more things. The place for the boardwalk fries is called Thrashers. You may also want to check these places out.

Kappy, also the inlets and related fishing piers are worth fishing.  You can find some great action there.  And, another great spot is the Indian River Inlet in Delaware just North of Ocean City.

Here's a thread where I post the links for Gene Muellers Fishing Reports, he always includes good OC reports:  http://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/index.php?topic=42793.0
