The lighthouse, on the south side of the south gap used to give up lots of rockbass and smallies for us.
Softshell crabs work well.
The middle gap is crazy for smallmouth on crabs too.
Be careful to keep to the sides as boats come in and out of the gaps under power.
You don't want to be in the way, and also be careful from the wake they toss when they come thru.
The bay on the south side of the small boat harbor's breakwall is good for pike in May and June.
We used to drift in toward shore with worm harnesses ticking the bottom.
As you do this, the bottom will come up quickly.
As it does, the fish always were right on top of that ledge at the top waiting for a meal.
We would also get an occasional bass and walleye doing this too.
Good luck.
