I moved from New Orleans to Syracuse New York, and still was able to find it at my local Wal-Mart.  I perfer the powdeer or the liquid Zaterans.  The liquid is usually what Wal-Mart has, a four ounce bottle with a yellow, blue and red label.  You can also find it on line.

TFB - we used to use canned dog food for bait.  Get the cheap stuff, take off the label and poke holes in the can.  This always worked great no matter what water we were in.

To cook them I use the crab boil (I can't remember the brand but the spices came wrapped in a little bundle that you throw into the water).  Boil them whole, break the in half at the tail, suck the juices out of the claws and the head and eat the tail meat with a little squirt of fresh lemon  :P.
