I was thinking about stuffing it with sauce, meat and mushrooms and throwing it on the Weber.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I meant 10" in circumference.....5" across. You'd think an old woodworker would know the difference.🙄

So, I pulled all the tomatoes and cukes on Saturday. Last harvest made a half gallon of refrigerator pickles. My wax beans are going wild. Little beans everywhere. May pull the zucchini this afternoon. We've had about enough zucchini for the year.

Harvested a big bowl of radishes and plan to plant more in the empty beds along with spinach.

My Brussels sprouts are growing along but I'm still not convinced I'll get a harvest out of them. I emptied the strawberry bed which was a complete failure. All plants and no berries. Gonna have to rethink that one. Anyway, I'll be filling the beds with additional soil and planting garlic in them this fall.

The season is winding down but it's not over by a long shot.

Holy zucchini Bateman!

This "thing" was hiding under a pile of zucchini leaves. It's 24" long and 10" in diameter. I wear an xxxl glove.

OYE!

I have no idea what to do with it.

Rg

A little late to reply, but I would “bake stuff” that zuch just like peppers. Core it, blanch it, and Fill it with red sauce, sausage, rice, and any vegetables you like, top it with cheese.

I fried some up and it was pretty tough skinned. Your suggestion would have been better.

Had a nice harvest of wax beans today.

Made a nice bean salad with radishes, garlic, Basil and parsley from the garden. Added a sweet vinaigrette. Made a super side to nailed red and Yukon potatoes also from our gardens.

Oh yeah they complimented angus strip steaks....medium rare on the Weber.

Silly delicious!

Anyone have a method of drying hot peppers without oven or dehydrator?

I was thinking of stringing them and hanging them in the garage.

That would be tough with the humidity, even with the dehydrator, if you don't deal with them right off the bat, they get soggy again.

Dried and ground a lot of all kinds of peppers  stringing them and hanging above the hot water heater...    Hang them whole with a string from the stem..
Put a small fan on them.. ;)

I was thinking about hanging them over my basement dehumidifier. I'm going to have a good pile of firecracker chilis and cayenne peppers or dry. The cowhorns, hot banana, jalapeño and Anaheim will get pickled.

The other option is to build a dehydrator if I can't find one at Goodwill.

I always dry my basil, oregano and parsley in paper lunch bags hung up in the basement. Works great.
