Memorial weekend - spent in Cape Vincent, NY Wilsons Bay had dead gobies all over the shore. What a stink.

I talked to a DEC biologist Thursday.  He said it is a virus killing them; they don't know yet if it will affect any other species.  There have also been some dead seagulls showing up, possibly from eating the gobies.
I know enough, I just can't think of most of it.

There also seems to be a Asian carp fish kill in the Illinois River (ESPN Outdoors).  Hopefully these invasive species have met their match!
