Cruise in 3 days
« on: Mar 01, 2020, 08:54 PM »
Even though I'm going to be fishing, I thought it best to post this here.
20 day cruise in the Caribbean
Actually two 10 day cruises back to back out of Ft. Lauderdale.
Two different routes.
We fly out early Thursday morning and the ship sails on Friday.
Can't wait.
Jeff is watching the house and his little buddy Macy.

Yea, on the 2nd leg I reserved some shore fishing on Princess Cays.
It is only $40 and includes the spinning gear and bait - shrimp and squid mostly.
I've been there before and done it.
You have to cast out past the coral reef and the bigger fish are out there.
And when you hook up you play hell keeping the fish from diving down into the coral and breaking you off.
It was pretty decent fishing for me the last time because I can work a spinning rod and get things to cast out far enough.
There were others however who couldn't get the hang of it and hung up on every cast.
Most of them just got upset for wasting $40 and left early.
I guess me catching fish on almost every cast didn't help things much either.
mostly mangrove snapper.

Anyway, I get free wifi and will have my laptop so I'll try to post pics here in this thread when I can.

You clowns behave while I'm gone and somebody be sure to put the cat out each night.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Me either. I can hardly use the computers at work. But, I carry a bottle of hand sanitizer in my vest. I help people when I'm at work. A lot of them are very thankful and want to shake hands. I cringe but I oblige.

Just glad I don't have kids in school. More than that I'm glad my Bride is retired. For 25 years she ran the cafeterias in our local schools. Kids are great little germ factories.
