Nice selection.

I've almost got my bench back together. Moved a bunch of stuff around in the basement lair. Had to take a little break after almost severing the end of my pinky last Monday. Got it caught under a metal cabinet I was trying to fix. Made a real mess out of it. 11 stitches and a very sprained finger. The anisthetic shots in the end of the pinky were the worst.

In any event, the darned splint gets in the way of trying to tie. So it'll be a bit for me.

Ouch. Get well soon. I haven't tied a fly since June and haven't fished in three months but I'm back  in action as of a few weeks ago.

Nice stones LB.

Thanks Trapper.
It's getting there. Still doesn't look much like a pinky finger tip yet, but my Doc says 4-6 weeks.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

It's healing quick. I'll be tying tomorrow. I can go without the splint at home. I've still been wearing it around the store so I don't bang it up.

I've made my last trip to the Doc. He said I can take the stitches out when I'm ready. He knows I will anyway.

Question for the group, does anybody have any experience with loon UV fly finish? I am interested in trying it on the wing case of my stoneflies, question I have is do I want the thin or the thick? Thanks in advance.

I use both quite a bit. The thick is great for building heads etc. the thin will saturate more than build. Don't buy their little UV light. It's an overpriced waste of time. I got mine on EBay. It's a 28 led in the right spectrum and only cost 15 bucks.

Just needs to be somewhere in the 350-480 nm range.

RG Thanks for the info, I appreciate it very much. I actually already bought Loons UV light at All Seasons a couple weeks ago. From what you say about the price of their light I think I got a deal  ;D ;D

Yeah you did get a deal. I think I paid $25 for the loon light I bought. It does work well for charging ice jigs though.

Thanks Bigguy,
It's healing pretty well. I took the stitches out and had my first shower without a glove on that hand in 3 weeks. I don't know if it's ever gonna be the same, but it's not the worst could happen.

Finally christened the new fly bench.

Worked on some ice flies playing with some "sexy floss".

I think it'll work.
