Title: I caught this carp today in my NY river,is it a freak?
Post by: Corporal Punishment on Sep 09, 2006, 03:59 PM: I hit my local river "Susqeuhanna" today for bass and walleye.I latched into this weird looking Carp...Theres plenty of Common Carp here but I never seen these before in this river.....

IMO I think its a KOI someone threw in the river "Probably years ago" and it survived...Or its a freak of nature... ???

Another idea is someone tried to scale it once to eat,but then had second thoughts and threw it back... :-\

Thats what it looks like to me also,but it was in the Susky..By the way,its still swimming there.....

The walleye bite has been on the past couple days.My buddy got his biggest walleye ever yesterday at 21".We hit the river hard with my Jet Boat this week and it paid off.

Yea,theres alot of them being used on the Susky.They travel in only inches of water,witch you need to make it through shallow rapids.

I was going to go fishing yesterday but some A HOLE stole my hitch off my truck 2 nights ago.I went to hook my boat up at 3 pm yesterday and said ***censored****..... >:(

Im going to buy a key locked hitch today.

No I wont be bringing it up on the first,its to small for up there.It gets around fine down here though at around 25 MPH...
