They a cool looking but are an invasive species
And a problem for other water fowl

I wonder if you could smoke them like a turkey.
Or deep fry them and toss them in chicken wing sauce.

We're eating high off the hog tonight.

We had one swim up to the boat on Hemlock lake a couple years ago. It seemed to be used to people. I think it was looking for a hand out but we had nothing with us.

Isn't it the mute swan that is invasive?

I think that the Trumpeterr swans are native.

Look it the difference in the bills. I think the ones you had begging are mutes.

I see. Not a swan guy. It was cool the way it hung out with us for close to a half hour.

One state out east went against the feds and started eliminating the Mute Swans as they were destroying the bottom land habitat of the waters that the native species that live there needed.

We have Mutes on our private lake. They are a pain. I have seen people feeding them more than once.
