Coming down seriously for the past hour. Couple inches anyway. Not gonna stop soon either. Flash flood warnings all over my area.
Standing deep water on the ground that was dry when I mowed yesterday.

The ground just can't handle any more rain. It is on it's way here...h2l
-
Here too. Been raining all night. Buckets at times, today is a total washout literally.
-
Just let up here , looks like more coming later this afternoon
-
Flash floods here yesterday, some significant damage. Heavy rains today too, and still coming down. But the next 3 days are expected to look better.

Oswego closed all county roads a little while ago
-
Incredible conditions. Be safe everyone
-
Take a look at the 10 day forecast 😠

I'm finally going fishing, only had the boat on Oneida once this year so far. Now I understand the phrase, "Come hell or high water". :P
-
I've been monitoring the usgs gauge at my backyard creek. The maximum flow has never been over 800 fps. It's now 1160 fps. Up almost 3.5' I. The last 12 hours.

At least you're uphill Dom.
I'm pretty surprised at how fast the water in my yard has dissipated. Hopefully, everything will be under control soon.

Yup. Gonna feel like fall on the first day of summer.... :P

Light rain through out most of the night here, let up now. Most of the hay fields around here haven't had the first cutting yet, all gone to seed and a lot knocked down from all the rain. Corn looks to be just sprouted, behind most years for sure.
-
Rough year for farming. We haven't done any hay yet. Put in 2 acres of sweet corn and a 1/2 acre of pumpkins that are swamped. Not going to be much corn this fall
-
It's been raining for 3 months!!!

We rent 60 acres to a local farmer for corn or soybeans. Apparently he won't be able to plant this year. We had a reported 4 inches of rain yesterday in the town of Oswego yesterday. There was damage to local roads and according to the DEC a local dam at Rice Creek was overflowing and suspect. Some local residents were evacuated but allowed to return this morning. What a weird year.

I believe it we junked our 110 day seed and bought 80 day. Shouldn't have rolled the dice I guess.

Mohawk River at Freeman’s bridge came up about 3.5 feet no fishing this nice weekend😩

One my way back from Maine to Indiana I saw lots of high rivers the color of mud from PA to Indiana. But it's not limited to those states. Other states here in the midwest are also experiencing exceptionally high amounts of rain to the point where farmers aren't getting into the fields soon enough to plant. Check out the following picture comparisons with this time last year when you can't get your crops planted because your fields are too wet! Farmers are in deep trouble and long with China not buying soybeans it could be the coup de grace for many farmers. They're already foreclosing on farms in my area.

Will this rain ever end? We just got dumped on for the last hour and a half. Was in the middle of my walk about 2 miles from my car and no cover nearby. Got a real " rain shower". Wasn't happy about jumping into my brand new car. But, At least I did have a towel in the back to sit on and it's only rain water.
Glad I mowed yesterday. Yard is flooded yet again.

Yep you didn't have to get a tractor into the field to plant and not acres and acres.
Our garden is doing great too. It is nice when you don't have to water all the time.
-
lot of farmers here have had a really bad year fields are flooded and the hay hasn't seen it's first cutting yet .....now all this rain really ats insult to injury for the poor people with homes camps or business on lake Ontario shore
-
Yea we got a ton a rain here this morning again also...its making fishing difficult with all the high water.seneca river is flooded pretty good here to.
-
Could not . it this morning. Got the smoker set up on the picnic table under the umbrella.....smoked up some candied bacon.....started the ribs and the skies let loose. Almost 2 1/2" of rain in an hour and a half.
I was a sight pulling a garbage bag over the smoker to get it into the garage during some vicious thunder, lightening and torrential rain.
But......I saved the ribs👍👍 and eh were delicious.
Cooling off and clearing out now.

Got three inches of rain this morning in 20 minutes. Wow talk about flooding! Then another T storm came through with about an inch. And now another T storm as I write this drifting from the north straight south. Weird.
-
Just ended a 45 minute deluge. 1.5 inches. No need to water the gardens tonight.
