Sincerely appreciate those of you that chimed in with ideas for me to try east of Valpo down Rt 30. I have "fished" all those lakes from the spiral bound book of lake maps for this part of Indiana but have yet to wander down and actually try them. This is a perfect week to give a few a try and if I do, I will report what I found. Priorities right now are crazy fun 4 and 2 year old grandsons that live near me along with their new sister of 8 weeks. They are a little young to take on a road trip fishing but do pretty well in the pontoon boat in the back yard lake. A friend fished Chain of Lakes today and did well and I do not know just what lake he settled on -- would love to get out more I suppose but there are so many crazy good opportunities of things to do -- this is truly an abundant life...
