Here in Montana we call that BAIT!!!  And small BAIT at that!!!

In michigan we call it the most fierce predator that ever swam our lakes. We are taught as kids never to swim in water containing rockbass

I really think we are elevating that fish beyond its true stature by refering to it as a "Bass"....its a sunfish...get over it!!!

We are also taught to never walk the shoreline alone wearing yellow if the lake contains the Mighty Rock Bass! They have been known to venture many yards up shore to dis-member their prey!
