Some Cattin & Carpin
« on: Oct 14, 2010, 08:39 AM »
Got the " Over The Hill Gang " together on the North Branch for a little cattin & Carpin. River was in good shape but the bank was a little greasey from the previous high water. Semper-Fi got the biggest cat @ 28 in & 11 lbs. JiggerJim got the biggest carp @ 34 in & 20 lbs. My bigest cat was 27.5 in & 9 lbs. My two biggest carp were one @ 33 in & 19 lbs & one @ 32 in & 17 lbs.
A river Otter was feeding in the area all day & climbed up on a tree stuck out in the river for a little drying off, scratchin & rubbing his hide on some of the branches. He finally fell asleep for an hour or so & then resumed his fishin. There's always something interesting along the river & I always enjoy my time spent there. There was a half-moon over head. Some pics.
